Nancy Tystad Koupal
Nancy Tystad Koupal is director/editor-in-chief of the South Dakota State Historical Society (SDSHS) Press. She has an M.A. in English from Morehead State University, Kentucky, and did postgraduate work in American literature at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She also edited and annotated L. Frank Baum’s satirical newspaper column Our Landlady.
Martyn Beeny
Martyn Beeny earned his B.A. in American Studies and his Ph.D. in History from the University of Kent at Canterbury in England. He was associate editor and marketing director for the SDSHS Press from 2005 to 2013. He conducted map research for the first two maps that will appear in Pioneer Girl: The Annotated Edition.
RODGER HARTLEY
Rodger Hartley (B.A., Linguistics and History, University of Virginia) is an Assistant Editor for the SDSHS Press, where he has worked since 2008. He helps in the research for Pioneer Girl.
